Turning Yourself In Would Have Been Cheaper: Murderer Gets Caught Because of Tattoo
April 28th 2011 06:01
Anthony Garcia is a member of the gang Riviera-13 in L.A., Cali. Over the past four years he's been getting an elaborate piece tattoo'd on his chest. What's all this ink depicting? Just the murder he committed four years ago, along with a confession. No big deal.
The very detailed tattoo shows everything about the murder, from the position of the victims body, the outside of the convenience store he committed the murder in, etc.
His work of art was discovered when he was arrested for minor offenses, and the LAPD photographed him with his shirt off. It's common for the police to photograph gang members with their shirt off as they can often find tags that the members use for their graffiti and other vandalism.
LAPD didn't have to work very hard to get a verbal confession. While detaining Garcia in a holding cell, police officials went undercover as gang members. Within the short amount of time Garcia was being detained, the detectives gained a verbal confession to the four year unsolved murder.
Didn't his mother teach him that bragging never gets you anywhere?
