In Case You Don't Feel Ugly Enough; Body Dysmorphia Apps
April 27th 2011 08:03
There's constantly trends going on in the crazy world of apps that has successfully taken over our lives, and eyes. One of the most recent fads that I'm grasping to understand are the seemingly unappealing body dysmorphia apps. Essentially, you pay a dollar or two for whichever condition appeals (or disgusts?) you the most, add your photo and wah-la! You're disgusting (or more disgusting, as the case may have it).
There are a couple of different types out there on the market. The above photo depicts the app entitled "Herps and Purps" and if the name didn't entice you, let me explain: you pay 99 cents, and then you can put however many herpes breakouts you want on your face, AND you can add a black eye for effect. I'm not really sure how these two afflictions are related (yes I can. One word: alcohol. Which is what the developer must have been well acquainted with when he created this app). But honestly, who hasn't wondered "I wonder what my face would look like with herpes?" (If you've actually wondered this, please log of the internet now. Seriously. You don't need anymore terrible influences in your life.)
Other dysmorphia apps include Fat Booth, Pimple FacePaint, Aging Booth, and Bald Booth. So whip out those smart phones and put them to good use. What else are you going to do with that expensive technology? Making yourself look hideous is obviously what they were designed for.
Enjoy.
